Considering digging threw my massive parts collection and building a spare engine...was wondering what extra steps i should take during the build since this guy ain't going to be run immediately after build, like what assembly lubes to use and what not. The last motor i build i just used a lithium based moly graphite lube and rotella 15-40 but as soon as she was done i droped her in the galant and broke her in. Never had any time for rust to set in...any opinions or comments greatly appreciated
no, "Missery" as I used to call it when I lived in maryland heights was so humid it was nasty! I say wait till your ready that way you dont second guess your insinct, or build it and keep oil on top of the pistons and rotate the crank every once in a while.
