hello, i just got done droping in my new engine that is totaly rebuilt. everything was goin ok. I go to start up the engine after primeing it. It fiers right up and i was holding the rpms to 2500 for 20min to set the rings when i saw that there was oil on my tbelt. I go to look at it and it appers to be coming from around the crank pully. I tear everything away to track it down and I started it up again with just the timeing belt on to try to find ware it was comeing from. I started it up for about 15seconds and killed it. I notesd it was coming from ware the rear ballence shaft would be (I instaled a elm kit)right by the oil pump pully. here in the yellow
There was no flat cover peace like in the picture. I just ran a bolt right through the oil pump cover and into the gear inside the oil pump. I was wondering if i need a small frost plug for this. I rebult the engine a while ago so i dont remember how it is saposto go. It also seems like the oil pump is chattering a little when it is running.....??? Can i just jb weld a frost plug in there and call it good.?????
