Hello everyone, I just got back from my car, had to walk back, fortunately not too far from home, but here is what happened, I engaged clutch off traffic light and started to accelerate, no heavy acceleration, mild driving, and all of a sudden the car had a major shudder and heard what sounded like clunking sound as the car rolled, with the car rolling like it had a flat almost. The car is a 91 FWD turbo Eclipse, before I take it to repair shop for checking tomorrow morning, I'd like to possibly get an idea if it's a broken axle or broken trans. My first FWD car I own, so not sure, but I do know when I grenaded the trans on my mustang, it felt almost same way. Clutch engages no problem, but car wont move without making noise while rolling. ANy ideas?

You have to get it up in the air and check. With a fwd, you can lift up just the front and spin the wheels to see whats going on.

Well, it's a done deal, the tranny is broke. My first experience with a import has not gone so well. WHile the car is impressive in performance, I've never had a car that was such a money pit. Time to lose this ride, and search for something else.
