Thanks for that link. That is exactly what I needed. I guess I'll be going to the city to get one. Do u know if I can just get the attachments since I already have a slide hammer?
 
Check with AutoZone, ask for the pilot bearing puller set.

You should be able to rent a setup like that at any parts store that has rental tools.
 
We made something to get it out. We took one attachment for the puller welded a piece on it ground it down to a hook shape then wedged it in so it wouldnt come out. Then pulled with a puller and it came out. I'm just glad that it wasnt all scared up since im doing this on a budget so I can sell the car. I was on my way to deliver the car saturday when the balance shaft belt broke and took out the timing belt. I got lucky no valves got bent in the process.
