I'm looking to get some 272-Cams but undecided on which brand to get? HKS Cams are a little expensive and the Brian Crower i can get both Intake/Exhaust for the price of one HKS! quality wise though which would be better? Thanks - Ryann :talon:

Get the HKS grind from Delta.

Same performance, a lot less $.

Save your money get the BC's, being more expensive doesnt make them better.

,There is a HUGE difference in every cam mentioned and BC is actually at the bottom of the list. Soooo do research.

Lol...so which have you run? Reasearch hks and delta regrinds have very very similar power results...dyno proven. Ive owned hks and will never buy them again. Not worth 650 bucks...your paying for a name.
Unless you have experiance with both, save your comments for somewhere else. OP,go with delta regrinds...cheap...cost effective and dyno proven. Save your money for a better turbo.

Kelford cams vs Fp cams [Archive] - DSM Forums: Mitsubishi Eclipse, Plymouth Laser, and Eagle Talon Forum: DSMtalk.com

Theres been a TON of comparisons. And I personally have run BC's on my builds to save money but I know for a fact they are at the bottom of the barrell.
Kelfords are great cams too to the OP.

They have always performed good in every test ive ever seen. No low end loss with lots of gain up top. Makes a great street cam imo.

Check out this thread, he seems to have a pretty high opinion on BC cams, especially the 272's.

Why pay double for the same gain? Any difference would be very marginable, and would easily made outdone by the other mods you would have done with the money saved.

I'm probaly going to go with HKS or FP'S 272's I'm thinking about the 264/272 combo not sure on that yet. Thanks guys - Ryann :talon:

Here is a quote from a while back, they seem pretty beast imo.

"I started out with a T66 Turbonetics and 3 inch back Exhaust.

On pump gas with stock cams and gears car made around 425HP

On pump gas with BC 280 And Fidanza gears after 2-3 hours of cam adjustments and tuning made around 485HP about a 60 HP gain .

This is expected because i was going from stock to 280 cams . I honestly expected more gains but that is what it made most of the power gains were made from the cam adjustments . cams straight up did not gain much . seting them to -3 on both had the best gain . ( I never tryed -4 with this set up )

I did run race fuel and retune more boost etc made about 600whp @34-35 Psi Still lower then I would like but still nice power. -3 on cams as well

Over the winter swapped in a GT42R full 4 inch Exhaust same pump gas tune car made about 500HP with spool about 500-800 Rpm later cams were at - 3 still . I moved the cams back to zero just to see if there was a power loss but it did not lose any power maybe like 3-4 HP at most .

I left them at 0 for a while seeing it did not make a difference I then added a meth injection kit added some timing and tuned for the meth but not much of a gain maybe 10-12 HP .
I then decided to try tuning the cam settings I set them right to - 4 on both made a pull and power jumped to about 585HP no tuning changes just cam changes boost did go 1 Psi or so higher but not enough to make that power.

I just feel that BC cams are not correctly se up to run at 0 degrees . Every car is different so your results will vary.

I am know running pump gas with straight meth inj ( 2 14gph nozzles ) its making 640 HP @ 35 Psi almost to my goal of 700HP on pump and Meth "

Add at least $400 for Kiggly springs or better with the Kelfords.

He said nothing about price. READ HIS FIRST POST. He's looking for quality :thumb:

And empie.. I used BC as an acronym for Brian Crower. And the reason I stated nothing about Delta's is because he never even mentioned them in his post.

by far HKS is the best

Yeah for your smaller upper RPM HP gain. Ive ran them and wasnt impressed. I would go with a set of Kelfords or DKS 272's "Red Stripes"

I just realized OP's car is bone stock.

OP what are the goals for the setup?
