Can anyone clarify if this is an auto or manual brake switch? It's my understanding there is a difference between the connectors on the two. My wiring harness has all large pins, this switch I have, has 2 large and 2 smaller contacts. This is the second switch I've purchased used for my 1998 GSX and it doesn't mate up properly.

Auto. The manual brake switch is a 2-pin switch, part number MB435457.

Automatic 1995-1997 and some 1998 models used MB596608 for the brake switch while the later 1998 and 1999 models used MR307094.

A quick Google search appears to show that MB596608 has four equal-sized contacts and MR307094 has the two small and two large like the switch you have shown.
