I attempted to take the bolt off that tightens the reservoir and it was so rusted it just snapped.

Does anybody happen to know where I can purchase a new one? I've been checkin a lot of the oem websites and I honestly can't find it.

A part number would be really nice too.

Thanks in advance!

OEM Part number for the bracket is: MD895866 and the bolt that tightens the bracket is: MF243623

Any one that carries OEM Parts should be able to get this for you.
Hope that helps
-Andy

The bracket looks to be MB895866 and is less than $10 new.
The bolt is MF243623 but any 6mmx14mm one will do including something like a stainless allen bolt to avoid it rusting again.

Assuming the part is still available any of the online/traditional dealers should be able to get it for you.

Beaten to the punch. LOL

Anyone know where I may find this part. I used the above link and the part is not listed anymore. I Google searched the part number and all I found was some foreign parts company who wanted to charge like $50!

Does anyone know if this part is still available?? I cant find it on the Mitsu site, STM, Mach V, and google doesnt even return any results other than this thread...
Thanks

Or do away with the bracket and reservoir completely... Go to local junkyard and pull the brake master cylinder w/reservoir and cap from a 3G eclipse. The 3G reservoir mounts on top of the master cylinder and bolts right up to the booster. Only have to re-bend one of the brake lines. Benefits: 1-1/16" bore from 1" on GSX and from 15/16" on GST, and more empty space in engine compartment.

Yes I'm bringing a thread back from the dead, anyone have any luck finding this bracket? I need one asap.

Edit, found it for 22 dollars shipped. Yikes! Better than $50 I suppose.

Drill it out and use a shiny nut and bolt?

I recently refurbished mine by sandblasting and hitting it with a coat of paint. Looks brand new and was almost free.
That was my plan but drilling that old rusted bolt out on a flimsy piece of metal seems near impossible LOL.

OH btw the part was discontinued on that website "Savannah Mitsubishi" for anyone looking in the future.
