BOV question

sorry this is my first turbo car. when i take the re circ hose off and put my hand on the BOV should i feel a air flow through the BOV?

No. The BOV stays closed untill you release the throttle under boost. It opens to allow the boost pressure to releave itself when the throttle plate closes.

great, so do i need another BOV? or is there something i can do to fix it?

Just grab another one off craiglist or ebay, its not worth the headache of trying to fix a 20 year old part.

Ehh, I would use that as an excuse to upgrade to a small 16G or even a used BiG T28... If im not mistaken, the big T28 flows a little more cfm's than a 14B.

i had the same problem on my 2g with a 1g bov i suggest buying a used first gen bov do not buy the greddy style from ebay i could not get the diaphram to open no matter which way i adjusted it
