keep in mind my car is BONE STOCK:

i just got a greddy BOV and intake tubing kit. The kit came with all the right stuff except that the BOV only came with the fitting to blow off into the atmosphere.....Although the BOV sounded great, no matter how I adjusted the BOV the car would stall once you let off the gas. My dad is a plumber and i found a brass pipe that threaded into the BOV so i could recirculate it. Although it is VERY RIGGED it seems to work. The car was stalling at first, but now she does not. But now I am still having trouble adjusting the BOV. It does not sound like it used to, it much qiueter. now that you know the situation, i have a few questions.

-What is better, blwoing off into the atmostphere or recirculating?
-Is there a way that I can blow off into the atmosphere and not have it stall.....any tips?
-What is the proper way to cap off the "recirculating" line?
-on the BOV there is harder and softer settings. What do these do? and where do I want to be on these settings?

any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.....thank you!

What do you mean 'cap off' the recirculating line?

If it is what I am thinking, your kit should have come with a plug/band to put in the
existing hose. If it isn't plugged, that could be causing the stalling issue. Mine
vents to the atmosphere just fine.

the kit did not come with the plug/band......i did plug it with a cap for plumbing pipe and a hose clamp......

is your car completely stock? did you have to adjust the BOV to get it not to stall?

i still would like some help on what the adjustments on the BOV do, and the proper way to set it....

The only proper way to not recirculate is with a MAFT.
When you recirculate, it won't be nearly as loud. Buy the greddy recirc. kit and be done with it would be your best bet.

yeah i think thats whay ima going to do.....do you know where i can get it? I'm not having any luck finding it.......

Alot of people experience trouble when they're BOV is set too soft. It ends up causing an air leak. But you don't want it set to much to hard either. Adjust it to where you're not leaking air at 20 psi (Boost leak test... not road driven test).

the hardness and softness is in relevance to the spring of the BOV. harder it is set the less time it is open, and the shorter the pressure release. The softer it is set the longer the spring is compressed, allowing more pressure to be released.

What was the reason for buying a Greddy anyways? You have a 1g and if you crush the BOV it will hold just as good as a Greddy without the problems. :D
