BOV leak=lost boost?

Ok, i accidentially stripped the inside of my GReddy type-S bov...good thing...Sound Performance said they could redrill it and put a bigger nut.bolt in there for 35$.....My question is...i was testing my BOV psi and when the boost fell off...i floored it in 2nd gear and looked at my autometer boost gauge and it lost boost starting at 53-5500rpm. It lost about 2psi...is this the cause of the BOV leaking or no.

Probably because your T-25 can't hold your XXpsi up to high rpms....its small.

A boost leak will make tuning very hard, loose of power, kill mpg a little.

Like Eclipse90 said, the stock T25 just does that naturally. If you want to double check your BOV, hook it up to a vaccuum pump and see what HGs it opens at. That will tell you the psi that it will open at and tell you if it will leak at whatever your boost controller is set at.
