Ok after doing a boost leak test I found out that I have a huge boost leak from my stock 1G BOV. Durring acceleration I can hear it just pouring thought the recirculation tube. After discovering this I purchased another BOV and its doing the exact same thing! Am I possibly working with another bad BOV or is something else the problem?? Could it be the BOV flange? This thing is driving my crazy, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

which bov did you get?either way did you tighten the bov so it can withstand more preasure before it opens up?is the air coming from the bov opening or the flange? remove the recirculation tube and check.

If you are 100% positive your problem lies in your 1g BOV, you should crush it in a vice to increase its threshold of pressure resistance. Make sure you use a vacuum gauge to double check that you are crushing it to the right amt of pressure.

What PSi were you testing your system?

Search "crushed bov". It was discovered during the Juracsic era. And well-discarded by the Middle Ages.

You might try the Dodge Garage mod, but first make sure you have it plumbed in correctly. 1G BOVs are usually good for almost 20psi stock.

I'm not sure what huge is but you should stick your finger in the outlet when pressure testing and see if the leak is coming from the valve to the UICP or around the valve shaft from the lower chamber of the diaphragm. Make sure that the nipple of the BOV is connected to manifold pressure during testing so that the upper chamber sees the same pressure as the lower of the difference could be opening the valve.

Was the "new" BOV actually new? My original leaked around the shaft from the lower chamber.

Sorry I havent been able to get on in a couple days. Anyways.. I did take the recirculation tube off and its coming from the large hole on the bov. It begins to leak as soon as the air starts to circulate throught the system. I dont know if the air is coming from the little hole underneath the bov or not. Would the problem be that the flange covers that hole??? I will try to find out exactly where the air is coming from. Thanks for all your replies!
