I bought this header on ebay. I know, you get what you pay for, but I was hoping for something that at least fit. LOL. I went to put it on, and they actually welded the flange on backwards where it bolts to the head. The bolt holes on each end are spaced different, and they have it flipped over so the wrong spacing is at the wrong end. The bad thing is that the seller "just-intercoolers" just keeps telling me that from the pics it looks like it could be adjusted. They said "please have a proffesional modified mechanic adjust it". Um no, I want a part that is made right to start with. I am actually an ASE certified mechanic anyway. It might be possible to get it to bolt up by elongating the 2 end holes, but the one I would have to slot clear out of the side of the flange. They need to send me one that is properly made.

Ok, first of all, yes, I disputed it and am not following through with it. By the time I pay shipping and if I bought one that was correct in the first place I would probably take a 30 dollar hit on a header that I bought because it was cheap. I disputed it because I was hoping that the seller would do what was right and have to exchange it. It should not have cost me any money at all for their #### up.

I am not saying by any means at all that it is the best thing out there because it obviously is not. On the other hand the comment about losing power with it, I would doubt. The ports on the head are damn near an exact match to the primaries. Compared to the stock manifold, I see no way that the stock manifold could flow better. As far as the comment about turbulance, have you looked at the stock manifolds and the sharp turn that the air has to take as before it enters the turbo. That is turbulance. At least with the tubular header, there are gradual bends that lead to a straight shot into the turbo.

As far as cracking, I guess time will tell. I did notice that someone else posted on this thread that they have been runing this header for a year and a half and have no cracking. Hopefully my luck will be as good, but if not, I will deal with it when I have a problem. As far as the header being junk if it cracks, I have access to a tig welder, so that just isnt the case.

1gcrazy, thanks for calling me an idiot. LOL I agree that it does suck that it didnt fit as it came, but it does now. I wanted to send it back and if I wasnt tight on money right now I would have probably done it on principal, but oh well. Their money is on hold till I cancel the dispute, and I will be leaving bad feedback for the seller for not taking care of the problem.

He put picks of what it used to look like on here, he screwed himself doing that cause 1 of those CXracing people might have seen it.

I hope they do/did see it. They should know if a customer is not happy with their product. I may not have sent it back, but it may make others think twice about ordering something from someone who wont stand behind their products.

its not going to last either way, my cousin has gone through 2 of those manifolds (even after i said it wouldn't be a good idea) and I finally just made him a top mount down the road just to get him by. At least my welds arent cracked after 6 months like the cxraing mani was after 2 months.

Time will tell, and you get what you pay for.

Your butt dyno would'nt feel it, but your gonna loose power and spool up time, i run that manifold for 13 months, you know what i did in the 14th month? i upgrade to the stock one. i gained 400rpms sooner spool and 11.8whp back.

Hope you never dyno your car so u don't notice the loose of power. :|

I hope you're joking.

Good buddy of mine bought a Pacesetter tubular manifold from Summit; in 6-8 months the #4 runner had completely broken away from the collector. He contacted Summit, they told him to contact Pacesetter. Pacesetter said that because the header was wrapped (this was done in effort to keep the paint from burning off the valve cover, which it had already started to do) the warranty was void....like the wrapping was totally responsible for the failure of their shitty manifold.

End result was $200 down the drain, and the manifold in the scrap pile.

Same thing happened to my pacesetter manifold 3 years ago. Been running a ported slowboy one now with zero issues.

CXRacing - I have had there radiator on my car for about 3 1/2 years with zero issues.

i personally wouldnt buy one from ebay, but good luck with it. i like the evo3 and HAFE manifolds. the Hafe has a "flange" that can be tapped for an external wg and still looks similar to the stock cast mani's. i think you can find them for around 200. the evo3 can be had for a few bucks cheaper.

it almost looks like it would fit a honda. the ports on it are tiny compared to your gasket.

throw it in the gutta and go buy anotha!!

Actually, I had more than one gasket. The other matches the ports, and also matches the ports on the head. The primaries are the same size as the ports on the head.

And honestly, if it does crack(Im not saying it wont) then I will either fix it or get rid of it. I plan on eventually going t3, and will have to get something different anyway.

I wish I could find a used forced performance race manifold.

Hope you dont go to english class so you dont "loose" points for your spelling. j/k

I will run this for now. I want to go to a t3 flange turbo and external gate eventually anyway. When time comes for that I will look to see what is reccomended and probably buy something nicer.

Where do you get the HAFE manifold, or the FP Race manifold? I would like to check them out.

LOL yeah this guy is dumb.

standard paypal procedure for a dispute is as such.

File it.
Send it back to seller.
Provide paypal with tracking info AND cofirmation of delivery.

Paypal WILL refund your transaction upon proof of return to seller. The seller has NO say in this.

Yes, I understand how the paypal dispute works. It was more an issue that I didnt have the extra money to ship it back to him within the 10 days that were allowed, plus it was going to cost me more to buy another. I just fixed this one and dealt with it.

Anyway, the car is running now. I also changed the exhaust elbow, and ported wastegate while I had it appart. Car definately does spool faster now. Everyone said I should lose spool but I didnt. IDK, maybe I had an exhaust leak or something before. Maybe people just act as parrots, and repeat whatever they hear without actually haveing the experience themselves. Oh well.

If it cracks, I will either repair it(its great having access to a tig welder) or look for a better option when the time comes. At this point, this is what I had the money for, and it worked.

BTW, no one ever answered where you can buy those other manifolds from.

So many idiots in this thread.

CX Racing happens to make the Punishment Racing FMIC kit, which is great, hell even I run it. No one is bashing CX Racing then, but they are now? Hypocrites.

Stainless Steel is Stainless Steel. The only thing that cracks on these things is the welds. So you buy a 75.00 tubular manifold, DNP style off eBay made of the same stainless steel as the actual DNP, bring it to a local welder and pay him $80 to $100 to go over the welds. Then you take a die grinder and gasket match on the flange. For $200.00~ you have a manifold that performs just as well as the $600.00 one.
