eBay Motors: CXRacing 2.5" Piping Kit Eclipse Talon Lancer 3000GT (item 370029087485 end time Mar-11-08 13:30:00 PDT)

This looks to be a pretty good kit to me. Has nice flared pipes, 3 layer silicone, and t-clamps . I only paid $100 to my door. Does anyone else have these? i'm trying to use this with a GReddy FMIC from an s14 that I have.

DISCLAIMER: I know they aren't bolt on and I know that they wont fit just because it says eclipse.

I didn't see that one, mine was cheaper and scratches easier than CDs but over all it works perfectly. You'll need one of each and maybe a little of the straight pipe. Getting a nice line up to the throttle body elbow was what hindered me for a min a two, other wise its a good product different couplers are recommended but until mine fail ill ride with em.

Khartley has them I put it on the first time and it was blown apart a couple times but thats because some pips werent flared(had to cut some peise down) and some we had toy kinda put the coupler on cockeyed but other then that I know I will be buying some when I get the cash rounded up

I bought the same kit but my pipes were black...anyways the pipes are good but the silicone couplers are garbage (at least in my kit). I say that because when i upgraded my turbo i also put the FMIC with this kit and i kept blowing the couplers. I blew like 4 of them from the pressure building up from 20 psi boost, between the pipes. I eventually replaced all of them but you say that yours are a 3 layer silicone, i am not sure what mine were, but the kit its worth it though :thumb:

I got my pipes yesterday, and you were right on. They are not all flared; as a matter of fact, the only pipes I can use aren't flared.

You were also dead on. The couplers look a little weak. Im going to use some couplers I have laying around. The t-bolts dont look bad at all tho.

I just recently bought this same kit, the couplers didn't feel like they would hold up too well, so I bought some 4 ply couplers from exremepsi, and the pipes bent pretty easily. I can at least say the tbolt clamps were pretty good. :thumb:

Got the whole kit here... obviously I can eventually figure this out, but how close is this (height) to where it should be ?

(foglights are pictured for [easy ?] height reference... they have now been removed etc...)

I have a similar kit from CXRacing. Came with a 45* and 90* coupler and and extra set of 90* pipes instead of the 45* pipes. The only things that weren't flared were the U-bends. The strait couplers look decent but the I'm not so sure about the elbow couplers. Before I installed everything I took a clamp, coupler and extra pipe to see how far I could tighten it before something started distorting or snapped. When the pipe started bending I tried to remember that point when actually bolting together the pipes on the car. I haven't had any issues so far, but I am only running 14psi.

eBay Motors: CXRacing intercooler kit DSM 1G Eclipse Talon90-94+ BOV (item 200223790873 end time Jun-05-08 16:00:00 PDT)

I bought this kit from CXracing for my 1g. I was looking for a good quality, specifically cut for 1g, flared, and ready to install piping kit with all couplers and clamps, plus an extra 90* reducer to make it work with my FMIC.

I gotta say it was a tight fit, and the bov placement is a little too tall. But otherwise it went together perfect only having to cut 2" off of one pipe(mostly because I didnt use their FMIC).

He seperated the piping kit from the IC for me and included an extra 90* reducer coupler, and shipped it to my door for $250. It seems kind of expensive to me still but I havent blown a coupler yet and the pipe quality is very nice.

*** Is that a Spearco FMIC!?

I bought the $99 CXracing pipe kit reciently but all 3 ply couplers & t-bolt clamps were of good quality and are working fine...but I'm only pushing 9 PSI...

Turns out I only had to use one coupler. It's also a straight coupler and the pipes damn near touch. I doubt it'll get too much stress.
