i,m thinking of getting the bosch 044 to replace my walbro 255 my question is is bosch 044 louder than the walbro in the tank i like them loud but not to loud so any body with the 044 please let me now is it worth the up grade.:talon:

Very much worth the upgrade but keep the 255 and use the 044 inline wth a rubber damper around the pump, it will be a little bit lounder but you have to sacrifice something for performance. To answer your question entirely ...the 044 is louder but more so intake then out and dampened. inside it echoes and screams outside it sounds like a mini supercharged fuel pump. It does not scare any races away or make anyone turn there heads in shock. When you do a rewire it will make it a bit louder as more voltag will work the pump a little harder but you will get more fuel - again a sacrifice. Once you get to the point of needing or wanting a 044 and 255 or just the 044 the pump noise will be the least of your concerns. The 255 will go 550hp fine with proper tuning and pressure if you are concerned about that. Happy boosting
