Well, I thought the divided housings all had higher a/r numbers than .70.

That reminds me, Tom, actually that would be pretty cool if you could put that .85 a/r divided housing on the scale. Since it's lying around not attached to anything at the moment.

Just to keep things updated, I've added an impression of this turbo now several thousand miles later and at 30 psi, including a couple of logs, to the original post.

Just to keep this updated, the turbo is still in great condition with no shaftplay. Performance has still been stellar, as I've recently upped the boost to 29-30 psi. It's now flowing roughly 50 lbs/min (roughly because the 2g MAF is at 3000+Hz and overrun). As far as efficiency goes, I've plotted my numbers on the flow map and I'm still over 70% compressor efficiency, so no problem there. The logs attached for this are "run02012009-4 3rd gear pull.dat" and "run02012009-6 3rd gear pull.dat""

Yeah. Helps with the whole handicapped intercooling situation.

I know what you mean. One of the fastest DSM's here in the NW is an e85 car with an evo3 16g, automatic tranny, Lucas English tuned, and NO intercooler. Good throttle response too - don't have to fill up all that extra volume with air everytime you step on the pedal!
