bored .050 over?

bought this maroon 91 gst recently as a project. as far as I knew it had bent valves. Not a huge deal. had a chance today to clean up everything to get the new head ready to toss on and the pistons read 050. is that possible?

Yes, .050 bore is possible, just not ideal. I believe the absolute max you can bore these engines is .060 over and it's just not recommended if you have to go that far.

Yes it is. If you looking to rebuild, You can do 3 things go 60 over / sleeve the block / get another block

As of right now it's gonna be a daily once it's fixed . Ideally I would love to build it but I just need funds :/

Yup, I'm at .060 over and so far haven't had an issue but ill see how it goes when I raise the boost soon I'm only at 12 psi as of right now so no telling. I think you'll be alright for a daily in my opinion. And I do romp on it really often but the motors been great so far as long as I keep up with it frequently.

This motor has other issues than bent valves. Previous owner attempted to eliminate the balance shaft but only did one belt and left the other untouched. Kinda worried about what else could be wrong.
