Boosts to 16-19 psi and then drops and holds steady.

Hi guys! So my question is, im boosting at 16-19 psi but once my wastegate opens ( i think ) with that raspy sound my boost drops to 10psi and holds. I know boost drops while rpms increase but is that difference too much? What should i check/look out for? Any advice would help thanks!

Common symptoms of a boost leak. 16-19 psi is also a big margin in terms of boost pressure. What sort of setup are you running (turbo, wastegate etc.)?

Well im running a T28, greddy type s, fp manifold, megan 3 inch exhaust, not sure about the wastegate though. Well time for a blt... some people told me that its the wastegate that needs to be adjusted which i find weird as i thought wastegates are supposed to increase/decrease boost pressure.
