so i have boost spike, i started off searching about it on here, and i run my JoeP MBC just like most everyone else, so i started shortening my vacuum lines and making sure there are no leaks at the t's and such and when i went to shorten the line from the mbc to the wastegate actuator, i noticed the line started stretching apart like gum from the controller. i cant change the line until tomorrow, but it had melted from hanging and touching something hot i suppose LOL. but my question is, is that likely the source of my boost spiking? since it was laying up against something and melted the line?

If it was bad enough that it leaks, then "yes" because the leak will further delay the actual pressure signal from reaching the actuator.
