Boost spike

Was driving my car this morning and had to merge on to the highway and doing so I noticed my auto-meter boost gauge was showing 14lbs of boost. My ? is what would cause the boost spike right now i have my Jpipe vacuum running directly to the waste gate so it should only be running 9lbs of boost. Could the wastegate be stuck

Possible did you do a BLT for leaks boost leaks.

Re occuring and i havent done a boost BLT yet i was planning on doing one tomorrow on my day off.
