Boost Problem please help!!!

Okay this is something that is been driving me crazy forever. I have not been able to find any information anywhere about my particular problem.

Here's what happens. When i really get on it and go everything goes well with everything until about 5 pounds of boost ( as far as i know ). But after about 5 psi it continues to go up and i can hear the engine continuing to push it but i dont get any more power. it stays accelerating at the rate it was at and it just sounds like there is air spewing out somewhere.

It has been driving me crazy trying to figure this out. The car runs great with no problems when im just driving. but when i get on it i dont get much power out of it because of this problem.

The only thing i have been able to think of that it might be is that i know some of my intercooler piping connectors are not the right size and i really had to tighten them down so that they would seal. i have already ordered new ones and will be putting them on tomarrow hopefully.

i want to go ahead and post this because im unsure if that's the problem.

Sounds like a really big boost leak...especially since you're saying you have the wrong size couplers and you have to tighten them down a lot to seal

Definitly do a boost leak test after you install the correct couplers when you get them

i just got done researching how to do a boost leak test so after i install the right size couplers ill do that. thanks
