Boost Limits 2G ? ?

Im just now getting around to putting some crap on my car. I have a 97 Talon Turbo FWD. I am getting:

- SBR Boost Controller
- Autometer Boost Guage
- 2G Pillar
- HKS Turbo Timer
- 1G BOV
- All the crap needed to install

What im wanting to know is how much boost can i run consitantly/safely on my car. Ive been told somewhere around 15psi ? Also what should i get after these mods ? nothing like a new turbo maybe intake, exhaust...etc. ?

With those mods, you're still limited to 15 psi. You haven't done anything to your fuel system or your exhaust. After 15 pounds, all you're doing is pushing hot air and your injectors might not be able to put enough fuel to keep you from detonating. Open up your exhaust and intake, change your plugs and wires, and get that boost gauge on before you start messing with anything. A logger wouldn't be such a bad idea either.

Lets try this again
With the mods you currently have, I wouldn't up the boost at all!
Now if you're asking what your engine is capable of handling after doing certain supporting mods, that's another story.

As far as what order you should do things in. The stage 1 link tells you what order to buy things in.

For me, I did the basics in this order and I think this is a good order to go in.

1. Boost guage
2. K&N filter
3. UICP with 1g bov ***With #2 & 3 my boost raised 1-2lbs without a controller****
4. Cat back exhaust
5. RRE downpipe and highflow cat
6. fuel pump
A few free mods were done along the way also. Although I wouldn't do some of them.

All the basics without getting into more. I added an EBC next I believe(been a while).

Exhaust is key. It also depends on what you want to do with the car. If your going all out drag race car then get a 3". But most people will recommend you get 2.5" Its quite adequate. Then again, people will argue that you might as well go with a 3" just incase you decide to take your car to the edge. You decide.

Honestly, rewire your fuelpump and run 18 psi... Everyone who says T25 stops making horsepower after 15 psi and just blows hot air is full of shit. Its dyno proven that the T25 acctully makes horsepower upto 23 psi even though it probably will drop down to 12-14 psi by the end of redline.

Thanks everyone. Does anyone know a good place where i can get a 1G BOV for reasonably cheap online ? Or should i just go to a junkyard and find one ?

You can use an EVO BOV. I ran mine that way until I got my FMIC and BOV.
Works awesome!

Junk yard is a good option.
