Boost leaks?

I have a 92 Talon TSi AWD Automatic, what would be the symptoms of boost leak?? I mean if that would occur, wouldnt the car fuel cut? for not having that extra air to equal out the A/F ratio? Because it almost feels like the car is solid, just doesnt wanna perform, kinda feels like my timing is being manipulated when I start driving it. I mean if I just get on the gas a lot, it wont knock, but when I slowly get on the gas to the point where im actually on it well, the data logger my friend hooked to it, sensed like 3-20 accounts of knock, but for that to dog it all the time, U think it would knock every drive
