alright, so i have a 6 bolt 4g63, with a fmic, a big 16g turbo, and hks ssqv bov, a couple of days ago on the way home there was a loud banking noise against my hood, and seen it was the timing belt flopping around, so i cut off the engine, and realized the timing belt tensioner needed replacing, so i fixed it and test drove it, and now, it sputters and acts like there is a boost leak, but i cant find one, i did a boost leak test a few weeks ago, and only found one(and fixed it), what do you think it could be, and if you think it could be a boost leak, where are some places that its common to find leaks?

Did you do a compression test to see if you bent any valves? If the tensioner went out and you didn't bend any valves, you are extremely luck my friend.

i figured it out, it was a spark problem, i was firing on 1,2 and 3 but not 4, one of the coils need replacing, so just have to head up to a salvage yard and get one, a couple of days ago, i seen there was a spark plug wire that was worn down and replaced it, i think it may have grounded out somewhere and caused a short circuit and popped a coil

You got pretty lucky if you didnt bend any valves I had a NT talon and the tensioner went out and thats all it took to bend some valves.

i replaced the coils, and now im thinking it could be the maf sensor, because it is mis firing, i have a 2g maf that im going to put on, so maybe that will fix the mis firing, the stock maf wont keep the clip into place, so im thinking that could be it

I would do a compression test like everyone else said one problem at a time. Good time as now to rebuild a better head

It was running fine then you broke a belt. Are you 100 sure it didn't jump time? It sounds like you are describing most of the belt was intact but a piece of it was flapping? In that case you could be correct. Right now I'm questioning two things. Was it really in time when the belt broken and is it in time now after the repair? Unless that belt cut some wire etc I see no reason for any other component to fail simultaneously. That puts the problem squarely back at the timing belt area or related components. Was the car running fine when you initially cut it off (not misfiring)? Look at the obvious here.

the tensioner kept enough tension on the belt so that the teeth held in place, and nothing jumped, i cut it off before then and immediately did a timing belt job and it ran fine for about 30 minutes while riding home and then it started stitting and sputtering, i thought it was the mass airflow, so i replaced it and its doing the same thing, but now that i thought about it, im starting to think its the cam angle sensor, because i have to apply gas when starting the car up, so now im going to have to figure out how to replace it.
