Boost Leak, Injectors keeps leaking.

I did a boost leak test and fixed two of them,.. But, My injectors are leaking from #4 and #2 they are leaking from the insulator (the ones between the head and the injectors,.. I can't make that leak to go away, I replaced them with OEM ordered from the dealer, I removed them and put them back 4 times, and no luck, I'm sure that I tight up that fuel rail really good, but no luck, no luck, I put some grease on the insulator and keeps leaking, I even clean up very well the bottom of the fuel rail where the plastic meet going toward the Head, and no luck ether thous any one knows what's going on?.
It came to my mind for one moment to sand the fuel rail where it seats to make the rail closer to the head and that way it pushes more the injectors towards the head so It can put some more pressure on the injectors, (WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THAT?).... Or is there any thicker ones out there (aftermarket).
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you replace the o rings when you replaced the insulator?

Just a thought, have you tried switching around injectors at all to see if the injectors themselves are not allowing to make a proper seal?

How are you installing them? Are the seals placed into the recess in the head or put on the pintle caps first?

Been there. Bought an injector seal kit... Put new ones on there. Leak no more. Old ones were hardened up. You can actually RTV them and seal them up. Thats been suggested to me quite a few times. Not a whole lot, just enough to seal

EDIT: Nevermind.. Just saw your having probelms with just 2 cylinders

I dont see how using a bigger injector would solve his probelm.


And the o-rings are on the top, not the bottom where he is talking about.

I replaced mine with ones from FIC maybe you could try theres.

FIC seals are different than OEM seals and won't fit properly due to a different design.

I have RC 550 injectors, the insulators are new But not the O rings.
If I switch them it gets crazy and leak some other one and If I switch just the insulator it doesn't leak but is like if there is something wrong with the insulators that sometimes they seal and some times they don't, If I more an injector it leaks from the other side of the injector and sometimes it stop leaking, but it leaks again in a couple of minutes, when I apply grease on the insulator it stop leaking but after an hour it starts leaking again.
It is really crazy. (Don't know what to do)

i dont really know much about your problem but i would try a bigger injector. u might have to pull the head and replace a few things! just some ideas

Head is Refresh, Engine is Refresh, Injectors can be bigger but the outlet for the insulators are the same, the Head will be the same.. I don't think that putting bigger injectors should ports your head to much the injectors.

No, I didn't replace them, But they are new, Injectors are new.

You should NEVER use RTV near fuel as the fuel will eat through it. Being that close it would be rather easy for the fuel to melt the rtv.

Yes are only 2 injectors but if I switch them some other leaks but it is crazy, sometimes I just move the injectors and stops leaking and it leaks again. But have new O rings and New Insulators.

You mean, that it wont fit my fuel rail or the head?. Or it wont fit with the OEM insulators?, If I decide to buy them, do I need to upgrade something else?
wouldn't they be bolt on?.

Well I ordered some new Fuel Injector Seal Kit from FIC, They will be arrived in 2 days, once I put them on I will let you guys know what happens.

Miguel, when I wrote that, that was before I realized that FIC carried OEM seals. The OEM seals will work for OEM injectors. Their injectors require different seals.

AlBurgandy, the same applies to you. I'm unsure if you were talking about the OEM seals they carry but I assumed you meant the seals for the FIC injectors that you have listed in your picture.

What seals did you order exactly, OEM or the FIC seals? Smack me across the face, I just realized you have the RC injectors and those I'm not sure what they take to be honest. RC Injectors site doesn't say what seals either.

Your injectors require seals from FIC ONLY. Nothing else will work unless they were designed for the exact injectors you have. Install the seal kit FIC sent you and let us know. I'm pretty sure that will solve your problem. Also dont machine the fuel rail it should be necessary to fix the issue, just use the correct parts and you should be good.

At the time I was unsure there was a difference between the two.
