Ask Me,
Virginia
Alrighty,
Well I found a large boost leak. I just want to make sure that I know what I am doing before I blame the BOV.
The large hose coming off the BOV leaks badly when I perform the boost leak test. It is not connected to anything since I removed the intake tubing to allow access to the turbo inlet.
If I plug the hose with something, I can get up to 10 psi (my target is 22).
If I don't plug the hose, I can only get 5 psi.
I crushed the BOV recently and did so using a vacuum pump for accuracy.
I don't think the BOV should be leaking at all. I think that the answer is obvious, but I have been surprised before!
Thanks!
