i havent had time to track down how everything is hooked up on my car, but im a little concerned about my boost gauge and my pyrometer..when i am just cruising at about 70 my boost gauge is reading a vacuum of 10-15 psi..and when i hammer it jumps to around a positive 11...did he have this thing hooked up to the wrong lines or something?

and my pyrometer is reading anywhere from 12-15...now on a turbo diesel truck at 15 the turbo would become a molten pile of slag...do gasoline turbos run hotter/withstand more heat then diesels?

the pyrometer tells you the heat of the charge going through the turbo...so when mine is running at 12-15 it means that the heat of the exhaust is 1200-1500 degrees....if i am looking at it correctly the pyrometer on mine is installed before the turbo

Your boost guage is hooked up fine. When you are crusing at 70mph the turbo is not spooling so its going to stay on the vac side. Vaccum is measured by In. Hg. Boost is PSI. Your EGT temps do seem a little high. What all is done to the car?

those are all the engine/tranny mods...i need to find a good tunning shop around here to get it all checked out...im scared to mess with anything

Whoa...you have 650's, a 255lph, a t28, a FMIC, and 272's and you still don't have a tuning device...you better get that thing tuned right away unless you like your car running sh*tty...or just not running at all...but otherwise I think your guages are fine, you just don't know how to interperet them...I recommend you talk to the previous owner about how the car is normally running so there is no futher confusion... :thumb:

I have owned this car a total of 3 days..and tonight is the first night that it has been in my garage...i was supposed to have a pocket logger included with it, but if its here i sure as hell cant find it...i have an SAFC ( which i know nothing about) but i cant really do anything without the pocket logger, i am calling the guy i bough it off of in the morning to see what the deal is....i know its running lean, because the guy who had it lived in colorado..and if he had it tuned for that altitude that means its wway to lean for running around here
