so i installed a boost gauge in today and took it for a drive, here is my question when you take off and it boost up is it suppose to stay at the boost until you let go of the gas or is it suppose to boost up and then drop down?????

That's normal...You have a t25, and there not very efficient in the higher rpm range..Yes your boost will start dropping off..Shift before it starts to drop and you'll be alright..

When you boost your stock T-25 ( i assume) past what it's wastegate is set at, (9. p.s.i.) it will open up and allow alot of the air that spins the turbine of the turbo, to instead bypass the turbine so your turbo doesn't produce large amounts of boost. If this is what is happening to you, then it's perfectly normal. It's only a safety measure to not blow up your engine. Any more questions, let me know!
