boost creeps down??

ok so i dont have boost creep.. but my boost spikes at 15 then gradually comes down to almost 10!!! what the hell is that all about? im thinking the the boost controller (sock one) is bleeding out.. i believe this would cause the boost to fall. or do u think the wastegates bad???
im really at a loss wit this one
any help would be great thanks

Most 'small' turbos will do this if they dont creep. The engine is ingesting all the air which causes the pressure to fall. As long as the airflow doesnt change then there is no real problem. Pre-turbo exhaust leaks like the ones I have now will cause that to happen also.

do u think a mbc will help keep boost in check better then the stock one?

I have seen guys put heavy springs on the wastegate actuator to help hold it closed at high exhaust pressure levels.

Check your vacumm lines that go to your waste gate, and j-pipe and make sure they are not tore up.

An MBC will not fix your problem. Maybe an EBC but I have no expereience with those YET. I have an MBC on my car and my boost spikes to 14 psi then falls to about 9-10 close to redline. Just make sure you have no boost leaks.
