Alright, so it seems the temperature and humidity around here is messing with the boost I was used to running. I would normally pull 15 psi when it was cooler out, then I went to drive the other day while it was hot and humid out and could only muster 12, and 10 the other day when it was really hot. I tightened all clamps on my IC pipes, put the LICP pipe on that I've had sitting for a while, and still only hit 11-12 psi. It was pretty humid out. Now, I don't have a boost controller, but I am going to be buying one soon. If I get it and turn the boost up now while its hot, will it go even higher when its cooler and less humid out? And could there be another problem besides just the heat?

Last night after it cooled down I hit 15 psi again, but then my intercooler pipe blew off.

You have answered your own question about boost levels. If you are currently running 15psi and the heat/humidity drops it automatically to 10-12 then when it gets cold it will then go back up. Then yes it changes like so.

As for tightening down the clamps and all.... have you tested the system for leaks yet?

If not, do that first. Maybe you have extreme humidity, but I have never lost 5psi in the range before.

If a relatively stock car is getting peak boost at 12psi at night, and only 9psi during a hot day, is this dropoff within typical range of descreased boost?

This decreased boost is normal. The is a common problem with mbc equipped cars in general. Normally the complaint goes the other way though. Target boost in the summer and overboost in the winter. It just depends on where it is set.

My wrx is chipped and hits target boost everytime. The cool nights still feel much better though. The cooler air should allow the computer to run more timing making the performance better also.
