Caledonia,
I need to get the intake part (hole end) of the throttle body for a 1990 1g to be 2.5". Right now its about 1 and 3/8 as its turbo. Will the piece from a non turbo 1g be 2.5" and just bolt right on? Or what other car can I take it off of to do this? Need to pipe this intercooler up asap! Thanks!

Are you talking about the throttle body elbow? 1g non turbos don't use an elbow. the 2g TB elbows are larger but need ported to match your 1g TB.

The elbow that the 1g non turbo aircan attaches to. I was told that some Hyundai elbows will work with the 1g turbo and will be 2.5"

I'm very confused on the OP post. Are you talking about the elbow? 1g N/T TB are 60mm without an elbow. 2g TB are 52mm and 1gT are 58mm IIRC.

Wait, are you talking about the air intake pipe connecting to the turbo, the throttle body or the intercooler piping? Try to make you post a little more clear please.

I'm telling you 1G non turbo's do not have an elbow. There isn't an elbow that's going to be 2.5" unless you buy some kind of aftermarket elbow. A 2G elbow is as close to 2.5" as you'll get with stock parts but it will need to be ported to match your 1G TB.

Ok, now does anybody know anything about the Hyundai throttle body elbow that will apparantly bolt onto a 1g throttle body?

If you have a 1g turbo throttle body, then why aren't you getting a 1g elbow?

Because the 1g tb has a 60mm throat and the elbow is about 1 1/2". A 2g elbow is the best factory elbow. Many people use the 1g nt, and hyuandai throttle bodies because the have a 60mm throat and do not have a bolt on elbow. The throttle body itself has a 60mm piece that comes a few inches out from it you can directly clamp an intercooler hose to.

I know what the TB's are, I run a NT TB and ported RVR IM. I guess I'm having a hard time understanding what this guy needs. How hard is it to bolt up the 2g elbow or is it impossible. Easier to port out the 1g elbow? Overall, the NT is the choice to go with and just extend your IC piping and get a couple to connect both ends together.

There is no amount of porting that can fix this.

ROFLROFLROFL Looks like the 1g needs some Viagra ROFLROFL Still waiting to see what op wants. We have already stated that if you want ease, use the N/T 1g TB. Rebuild it and throw a couple #7 o-rings on both ends and it'll hold boost just fine. (Did for me anyway)
