Bolt-on High Performance Alternator

Does anyone know of anyone that makes bolt-on alternators for the 2g that are high performance? Preferably above 100 amps. I'm not looking to relocate the alternator.

A galant alternator puts out 90 amps and is a direct bolt in. Other than that you can try a saturn alternator, but you will have to do a teeny bit of work to get it to fit in the stock location

You don't have to get the Canadian model. Just get the 94-98 2.4 galant alternator. And yes it bolts on and plugs in the same as the stock 2g alternator.

It is also possible to have your stock one re wound to a high output. Call a local alt. repair shop and see what they can do.

They used to offer rewound alternators for our cars that were somewhere in the 140-160A range. I had one on one of my old 2Gs. I don't see them listed on their site anymore, but it might be worth contacting them to see if it's still an option.

It also looks like the 00-04 2.4L Eclipse alternator looks alot like ours. I wonder if it's a direct replacement?

I have this galant alternator, got it from autozone. I think the core charge was more of a refund than the 2g

Direct bolt on, haven't had any charging lights come on since. Been rocking it for close to a year.

90A, although DOHC ones from 1993.02.1 to 1994.05.3 build date were 75A. Part numbers vary by year.
