Figured I'd put this up here

As the Title says,

This is in a Bep 0.55 Housing car is on E85, Boost was at about 30-31 vs 32 dropping about 5-6 psi before.
The car was a bit hot and not playing as nice as it had been and had a few last minute issues or I feel like it definitely could have made a bit more up top. Though the Injectors are on the Edge here.

This is Spadepro22's car. Mods are in his profile HERE
He Was looking for a bit more power than the last time at the Dyno and at least 450 Uncorrected

So I Got EBC setup on the car to hold boost out top a bit better than it was & on spool. I made some adjustment to things in the tune and this was the End result.

Here is before and Currant Uncorrected numbers. :thumb:

I'm very happy with the car now even though it has a mind of its own sometimes. Maybe it will see 500 uncorrected. I know that killercolt guy will have something to say. :p

Thanks for the tune!!! I'd recommend to anyone.

Ha, Ya it's not to far off now Just Glad you're Happy and that I could be of service.

Thanks for the Recommendation as well :)

Nice work! Was this a ECMLink tune? How close was the Link HP estimate to the actual dyno results?

I'm going to get a tune from MY1GDSM as soon as I get my new fuel components installed. I can save 2 tunes (gas and e85) with ECMLink v3 lite, correct? I have e85 places around where I live, but I want to be able to switch to a gas tune easily for road trips and running a gas tank through to clean things periodicly.

Yes, The Car is Tuned with ECMlink v3 Full.

I won't get into Estimates as that is dependent on way to many things that can be adjusted.

Let's keep this on topic though...

But, Feel Free To email me Directly and I would be happy to discuss any question you may have.

What is your base fuel pressure and what did you hit for duty cycle with those 1050's?

Base is at 43 and duty is fairly high about 92% at it's highest point for moment.

EDIT:

FYI,
I Was just Speaking with Spadepro and he had the Comp. Cover off this Hx-35 awhile back and it has only the a 52mm Compressor wheel not the 56mm.

Erik, you can just contact me as I am local and will teach you how to tune your own car. We can do two separate tunes as well.

Back on topic, not bad for an hx35. I am seriously considering building a dsmlink powered Miata with one.

I have a set of aem tru time cam gears I'm going to throw in soon and degree the cams since they were installed straight up. Thinking about bigger injectors and fuel pump also. Maybe she'll hit 500 uncorrected. I'm past my goal so I can't lose if it doesn't. :sneaky:

I also have a pump gas tune, but I'll stay on E-85 as long as I can. Its only 2.49 a gallon!!!

This is awesome to see, pretty similar mods to the talon that I'm building and I'd be ecstatic with 450. Looks like I might have to get in contact with you when I'm ready for some tuning :thumb: Good work guys!

Good work man! Care to upload a log? I've just got my EBC hooked up as well cause I was fighting the same boost tapering issue.

Any idea what your 70-90 mph times are on a 3rd gear pull on the street?

Thanks everyone

Like I said if anyone needs anything or has any question feel free to Just Email me Directly and I'd be glad to Discuss things.

My1glaser, Sorry No logs.

But,
Last 70-90 I checked was about 1.3 seconds

Thanks folks. Yea I agreed not to post his work.

I'd also like to thank killercolt for building my motor after I had a shop fully build me one that took a walk before it 1,000 miles. Almost left the car seen along until he offered me a price for the build that I couldn't beat with a magic stick.

I am going to the scrap metal place thursday. You forgot to leave that garbage 1g intake manifold so it can get recycle it into something better. Lol. I think a slight shift forward of the tq with an aftermarket intake manifold will easily put you at 500hp+ uncorrected. The question is at what expense down low since it is a daily driver and is another 25hp really worth $350-550. You can try the cam gears but I will be shock to see 500hp just by dialing in the cams. Two to three more psi will put you at 500hp plus for basically free.

I want to say I am very impress by your tuner for doing such a great job with the tunes. He got rid of the tip in knock that your previous tuner left on you ecu and delicately setup your ecu to have it runing smoothly and fuel efficient. His price is extremely fair and his communication is great from what you told me.

I will publicly admit that you are right about the hx35 housing in a bep housing. This turbo is nasty and tough. The boost is very quick. I wish you did a complete 4th gear pull to see it load up on the Dyno more. You should post the 4th gear pull to show the 413hp and 482tq uncorrected 4550rpm. I think 3rd gear on the Dynojet did not give you enough load to build the boost you got on the street. If you did a full 4th gear pull, I think it will build slightly higher boost and might put you near or at 500hp+.

Thank you for helping me support my racing habit. Your sponsorship will go to making muscle car guys unhappy at the local track.

Great job with the tune my1gdsm. I will definitely send guys your way.

I guess I can post the partial 4th gear pull for you.

Here is the 4th gear pull in speed.

Here is the same 4th gear pull in rpm.

I haven't researched enough, but I'd like to know if anyone knows the uncorrected record in the bep housing? Just might set my sights on that. The amazing thing is that there is still some left in it as is and this is with the 52mm compressor wheel!!!

Congrats on the dyno numbers! My1gdsm does an excellent job with tuning cars. He tuned my 2g about a month ago and I couldn't be happier with the results. Only problem I have now is I want to go faster and want more power. I don't know if there's an area where you are finally satisfied with how fast your car is but I guess an 11.5 DD is not it for me. By the way, I love the engine bay. It's clean looking. Good luck with beating the record. Keep us updated.

Thanks. Yea I'm thinking about chasing the record, just not sure becasue this is also my daily. I feel the same way about the power LOL.

I definitely agree with killercolt, it's pretty amazing how fast the boost hits, especially on E85! It is a great street turbo!

What was the boost you were hitting in 4th gear? I can't keep mine below 40psi even without going WOT in 4th. As soon as I hit around 15psi, it shoots up to 40 and I have to let off the gas! I have the same EBC setup as you do...

Haha, yeah I kind of figured I wouldn't get to see any logs. 1.3 sec is moving! What was the peak airflow in lb/min?
I really don't Trust Airflow numbers even if things are set up perfectly when running SD, But Average from (the most recent log I have an maxed out Injector wise) @ 5k where pk tq is to 7k where is starts to fall off Airflow is 52lbs a min for a reference the pull on the dyno was 50lbs a min.

Personally I don't get caught up on that kind of stuff as far as number in link much and look at more of how the car behaves then anything.

Thanks! I try to do my best! :)

As far as Cam gears I really feel the top end has some room for adjustment and just because the nature of the Housing I really feel if We can get the car setup at "true" zero to see where things are I can make some adjustment and a few adjustments to cam timing would really be helpful.

The car is getting loaded up a bit more on the street I feel like. Though most of the logs I've looked at are at different temperatures an that may account for some of this. Biggest limiting factor right now is the Injectors though and that the last fill up on Ethanol (before getting on the dyno) I'm positive the Blend dropped a bit :|

Btw if you have that DFR file that would be great. I don't seem to have it an I'd like to get a look at that pull closer.

Thanks for the Kind words as well, As always if you need anything and want to feed the addiction a bit more just hit me up :D

Ya from the logs it hits in 3rd 25psi by 4400rpm and 30 by 4600, I'd have to dig around a bit more for a 4th gear pull to see Though.

Not sure how you have things setup But sounds like you need to drop the Duty all the way down to start and turn off Error correction if you have it on and go from there.

Thanks again everyone :)

I'm not sure how pressed Jason is on Pushing for 500.

But look forward to seeing what the car can do in the future with a bit more room to push things and maybe the last little changes it might need to hit 500 . :D

I'm not really pressed to make 500(would be nice) I'm good as is, but I'd like to see what the record is and if I'm in a close enough distance to challange it we might just take that on.

That 4th gear pull must have been a pull with the driver from the shop before I kicked him out my car!!! :ohdamn: I didn't pay much attention to it, but I'll send the file after work.

Just be careful, making tons of 500ft*lb pulls is very hard on the trans. At your power level, the trans has a life of about 150 passes.

Ok, thanks for the advise.

Congrats. Love seeing this. Gives me confidence I'll be in the low 500's on my 7 blade hx-35. About Identical build with a smim and higher compression. Keep it up.
