Ok so I've checked other posts similar to mine but none really had the same issue. My car is hard to start the first time of the day i often have to tap the gas pedal once ore twice and it will start, however; once it starts it idles like crap and if i touch the gas pedal again it bogs and dies. Now if i feather the gas pedal it will slowly rise in rpm and then break free and rev normally and after about 2-3 minutes of sitting after that it will drive just fine and start up just fine and have no loss of power or anything. Any ideas?

the weird part is even if i leave it idle for like 2-3 3minutes i dont have a single issue driving it no sputter or lack of power and it happened EVERY day on the first start I'm probably going to change my fuel filter but I just wanted some peoples 2 cents

This is just my two cents, sounds like at the first start you are taking too long to get the proper fuel pressure in the fuel rail. That's why easy to start up once it gets the pressure in the rail. Then during night the pressure is released and it happens again in the next morning. So I thought the filter is clogged or so.

What would make the system loose pressure then? Even with a clogged filter the system would still hold its pressure. Also if the filter is that badly clogged to make it hard to start. It would do it every time not just once, the filter would still be clogged. And the car would probably run like crap and lean. I've personally had the oring on the pump rip and would do similar symtoms to the op. Also could be the regulator leaking and pressure bleeds out thru the return.

gonna run it in to get the CEL checked and I might try to get the fuel pump out of there and check the rings because it does sound like I have a pressure leak issue somewhere I always love problems where it could be one of a million places LOL
