blown shocks, bad springs or what??? rattling sound getting annoying..

after installing a set of used lowering springs and new kyb shocks, my car's suspension has been acting weird lately. The suspension was fine at first but now everytime I am driving and hit a little dip on the road, the suspension on the front of the car makes a loud "thump" sound. Even if I go a little fast on a small speed bump, it makes that tump sound like if something is hitting the frame of the car, not the tires, more like metal on metal. I jacked up the car and visually inspected it and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I first assume it was the shocks that were blown, but my car doesn't ride all bouncy and stuff.


Second, everytime I ride on the freeway and I get over 55mph my car starts rattling like a mother*****! Its like a giant vibrator. The metal vibrating is loud and annoying. I don't know how to get rid of it. The car is stripped out, no spare, no back seats, etc etc, just the two front seats.

do this, reach ## hand into the wheel well grab the strut and springs assembly and see if you can wiggle it around. One of my struts rusted through a while back from the strut mount was it wasn't even attached to the car. Make sure everything is stiff, ### if u can wiggle the whole assembly around then that's not good. I would start from there. I doubt it would be any sway bar bushings or anything, how are the bushing on the strut mounts?
