So i clean out my intercooler and OMG what a big differents. ;)Before i was only able to boost 9psi now i hit 13.:hellyeah: But as i was on my way to school a pipe pop. :cry:So i look and it was a pipe with coolant coming out but going to the firewall. Anyone knows what pipe that is and what the number, like size. It was two going to the wall its the one one the bottem. Thanks guys

It is the hose that runs to your heater coil. I don't know what size but you can find it at just about any auto parts store. Be careful about tugging too hard on the hose(the side that goes into the firewall) Same thing happened to a friend of mine and he ended up busting the heater coil and had to take out dash to replace it...talking about a pain in the ars!

FYI, I couldn't get a good seal on the heater coil with stock clamps when I replaced my heater hose. I ended up using worm clamps.

Any local auto store can cut you a piece of hose to use. Just take your old length of hose to measure one up if you can.

I usually remove the battery and the upper intercooler pipe to do this.

I recomend getting two HEATER CORE hoses, and doing them both at the same time, also get new worm gear clamps(4) and replace the clamps because the stock one suck.

You can use just 5/8" bulk heater hose to replace these. Like said before. Replace the clamps too and make sure you get all of the air out of the system.

On the carefully removing part: I had an old mustang and I had to cut a slit down the tubing where it attached to the firewall and PEEL it off the barb, it was like glue. So yeah if you're replacing it anyway just cut it and don't risk excess strain on the core.

That is exactly what I had to do. The barb that the connect to is really fragile. I bent the one and had to straighten it out. I think it's just thin copper.

Iam having problems getting to the bolt on the clap. Can i remove anything else to get to it.

OPTION 1:
1/4" u-joint with a 1/4" drive - 3" to 6" extension and either a 5/16" or 8mm socket (depending on if it's a US or metric clamp).

OPTION 2:
Cut the clamp with a pair of wire cutters

OPTION 3: Stick a screw driver in under the thing that covers the screw and pry to pop that loose. Then the screw should be loose and the clamp will practically fall off. If you do this, be careful not to bend or damage the heater core barb.

Have had a couple that were like that or the clamp rusted so bad it wouldn't unscrew so I just cut it off with a Dremel and cut off wheel.
