blown headgasket

Ok, so i blew the headgasket last night. i would like some opinions on what kind of porting, replacing, and machining i should get done to my head while it will be off. i would like to have around 300whp and would also like to keep the cost down too. by the way i will be buying mls headgasket and using the arp head studs. any advice based on my goal, setup, and budget would be greatly appreciated.

Porting will be a good thing but first i will suggest that you go to a machine shop to check your head and do a complet rebuilt. A porting job will be very expensive and if you decide to do it yourself, its gonna work but without flowbench, its impossible to port equal flow in all port. In the machine shop they can do a 3 way angle job. Anywais go to the tech article and theres alot of thing you can do before porting... If you follow the tech arcticle, you gonna reach tour goal without porting your head

I believe there is a 2g race head on the classifieds. It looked pretty nice and was complete.
