Block Sensors

I have searched high and low.. I don't have a Manual (I used to), I ran a quick Google search as well on this.. there are 3 sensors on the back side of the block I know 2 of them are, crankshaft position sensor and, the Knock sensor.....

Anyone know what the 3rd one is and where I can find a NEW one?

I am having a new motor built but, its my job to replace any broken "bolt on parts" and, the old sensor was severely stripped.. hope that clears any confusion on my post.

No I don't have a pic I already sent the motor out to the Machine shop.. I looked at the 2 I already Pulled out and I am 99.9% sure that those are the Knock sensor and the Crank Position Sensor. Thanks guys I really appreciate it. also anyone know where I can find a PDF on overhaul on the 420A I seem to have misplaced the one I used to have.. thanks again.

I didn't know the 96 and up 420a's had a knock sensor!!

I have a 97 GS it has a Knock Sensor.

Here's a trick to remembering.

If you're under the car or looking at the back of the block where the 3 sensors are. They do a 'step/stair' pattern. Reading left to right it goes oil pressure, knock, crank. If you read it in that direction you are going "downstairs". Read right to left going "upstairs" and it's the reverse order.

Get it?
