Question about install this... In the manual the picture shows that for an external wastegate, Connect a line from the Turbo Compressor Housing to the bottome of the wastegate, and on the top nipple connect to the out port on the
valve unit. and the in port to the upper intercooler pipe before throttle body.

Now, I don't have a nipple on the Turbo Compressure housing but I have one on the intercoolerpipe before the intercooler. And then another nipple on the upper intercooler pipe between the GM Maf and Throttle Body. 2 Things, Will the Nipple on the intercooler pipe before the intercooler make a difference then being on the Turbo Compressure housing? And the other thing, will having the nipple between the GM Maf and Throttle body make a difference also? I just want to make sure i'm install this correctly...

From what I understand, you want the feed for the wastegate to be as close to the compressor outlet as possible. When using a mbc or no boost controller, the wastegate opens when the pressure on the side port equals the spring rating above the top port, which is open to atmosphere. So if you have a 1 bar spring, the wastegate will open when the pressure on the side port is 1 bar above the pressure on the top port.

Assume you have a 1 bar spring, and you source boost from near the throttle body. If you have a boost leak losing 10 psi at the intercooler, the wastegate is not going to open until the pressure near the throttle body is 1 bar, meaning the turbo is really boosting to 24.7 psi. Not good.

When you use an electronic boost controller, the boost controller switches the feed to the top port of the wastegate (the out on the SBC) between a boost source and atmosphere. When you set the boost above the wastegates spring rating on your SBC, it supplies the top port of the wastegate with the boost source, that way the side port and top ports have a pressure difference of 0psi. This way, the wastegate can be "tricked" into staying open above the spring rating. Once the set boost level is reached, the SBC begins switching the feed to the out valve between the boost source and atmosphere, to maintain a constant boost level.

However, I think you might melt your SBC selenoids if you supply them with un-intercooled boost. I source the boost for my Dual SBC after the intercooler for this reason.

So, all in all, I would source boost for the wastegate from the nipple before the intercooler, and source boost for the EBC from the nipple after your MAF.

So the same why I have it setup then :thumb:
