where would i be able to find blackout headlights and tail lights for a 92 plymouth laser

machv.com

That is were I got my covers. Besides you are not going to want black lights when its dark out. With covers you will be able to take them off so you can see at night.

Personally I used a couple coats of lacquer black with a few coats of lacquer clear ontop. Came out extremely shiny and the light shines through nice. Nightshade is nice but if I remember correctly its much duller than the lacquer paint method.

thanks you guys because im getting my car paint black and black rims so i thought why not get some black out lights

thanks for your help

Buy the headlight's..HID kits are pretty cheap too..

Like these guys said nightshade is cheap, the film is awsome, idk if it comes off and on and idk about it being legal it probly is, the covers are totally legal during the day only and easily removable..

Whatever you decide to do, do not paint the headlights..It looks awsome but does not work for nightime driving..Attemp at your own risk..

the military has these things called blackout lights. kinda ugly if youre gonna put them on a dsm but if you gotta drive with night vision, they really help.

Anything you do to your headlights are going to make them dimmer...regardless of whether you use covers or paint.

thanks for the cooment man i will have pics when i get it fixed up

You can black out the interiors without putting anything on the front lenses...they are somewhat dimmer due to less reflection off the lower surface, but not a lot.

I may know someone *cough cough* that has an extra set of 1G's already blacked out just laying around. Pm me for details ;)

I wasnt referring to doing anything to the actual housings, just the lenses.

Butttttt. Since you brought that up. I got a blacked out TBSS with black headlight covers on it. Light output is crap, I drive with the fogs. I have a spare set of TB headlights, and was actually thinking about taking the lenses off and painting the entire inside housing gloss black. Over the chrome pieces and everything. It would look sex but I doubt the light output would be any better.

Light output didn't change. Didn't touch the reflector, just the areas of the headlights that aren't being used. 2nd pic is aftermarket headlight thats already blacked out. Light output is just the same but better cutoff with the 2nd headlights.

...e out extremely shiny and the light shines through nice. Nightshade is nice but if I remember correctly its much duller than the lacquer paint method.

im gonna second the nightshades looking dull, i went to a bodyshop/auto paint supplier and they made a can of black magic "transparent black" paint and it lookd soo glossy and it was perfect..

last week i tried touching up my tails with vht nightshade and it looked all hazy, and i dont like how that looks at all.. snot a big deal though

Yes, yes I do..That's why I told him not to do it..But I got alot of light back when I redid them the last time..Still wouldn't reccomend for driving at night if theres alot of deer on your roads..

so what should i get the niteshade or try some other stuff because i really dont know what niteshade looks like and i just got my car painted did it myself if yall want to see pics just let me know but im going to see what i can find to make my head lights look good because everything on the car is going to be black

Ok, Honestly since I have done it a few times... Don't use VHT. It does look hella good, trust me. Only reason you can be ok with using VHT, is locate a set of really bad ass fog lights, like what I have, and put HID's in them... cause then you wont notice any light issue.

If you want the black look, get covers. OR, you can take the headlight apart, Mask the reflective portion that the light uses, you should know just by looking at it, its the smooth bowl part of the headlight. Use Masking tape, it takes about 30 minutes to mask the headlight properly. You want to paint the surounding area of the headlight. The roof, the floor, the side walls. But not the back bowl where the bulb comes out of, thats what BUD92GSX did and LOL it was funny for me... Use a good flat black paint, you don't need to sand anything because the reflective material they use is sticky enough for paint. Once you get the paint down properly, pull the masks off and seal the headlights. And boom, your done. Your headlights look hot and still get killer light.

Look at my previous pictures for what they look like. The first one, the stock headlight.. looks alot better in person. It looks hot in my honest opinion...

Pictures don't do justice. That was a camera phone image of my car when I started do to mine, I eventually smoked the clear corners. I've posted an image of that earlier.

Now if you want to get them dark, like VHT. You can go fully black or buy covers. Or you can just tint them. My friend did this to his talon...

But if you VHT, you have to be careful, it is paint! Its a Black Candy Paint made to stick to plastics. So if you drip, your screwed. Grab some gasoline and clean off what you did, you just wasted a couple bucks. Each can of VHT is 20 bucks here locally. So there is no room for mistakes.
