BL fixes, Throttle body & BOV mounting pipe

Hello DSMERS

Recently I did a BLT and came up with two major leaks, one leak at the throttle body, so I ordered some new gaskets from advance autoparts, just standard gaskets nothing fancy. I also discovered that the pipe running from the throttle body elbow to my FMIC has some cracks in it twords the bottom. I went to a mitsu dealership to get/order a replacement pipe and they wanted 120 DOLLARS FOR IT! So I just walked out of that place. I checked out DSM Graveyard and found >this< but it's sold out. So anyone know where I can get that pipe? Idk if the 1G would fit anyway, but I could probably make it work.

Oh I also have a leak in my BOV screw (greddy type rs). I can just use a tap n die to fix that right?

Anything else I should fix while the TB is off?

I should also mention that I'm not planning on rebuilding the throttle body, but as long as it's off I'll try and clean it up a bit.

Are you using soapy water to test. Your TB leak is most likely the shaft seals. Use Teflon tape or thread sealer on the BOV. The RS model is a POS. I've feplaced the diaphragm twice and had to basically line the whine inside housing with RTV to stop it from leaking.

The pipe you want is an upper intercooler pipe. Look in the classifieds for hard piping. Greddy makes a hard IC pipe kit for stock turbo setups

I ordered both of my TB gaskets from Mach V Motorsports - High Performance Car Parts, I recently rebuilt my TB following this link Throttle Body O-Ring. I also got the TB orings from home depo (#7 dandy) pack of 10 for like $2. I would rebiuld it while its off because those orings will leak next. I hope this helps
