I'm not sure if this is the right spot, but i will be getting my motor out of the shop soon and i will not be ready to drop it in yet and i want to know how long can i wait to drop it in before it is bad or if it will be fine as long as it is all sealed up...

As far as I know, an engine is a non-perishable storage item if kept in a dry area with a consistant temperature.

As long as it was properly assembled, and you prime the engine before start up, you shouldnt have a problem at all. Keep it dry and free of debris and its good to go.

Prime the engine before startup! Its very important. Is the timing belt installed on it already?

it is still being built i just went ahead with the motor because i couldn't pass on it for the price but when i get it out of the shop i will not be ready, i will still need to get a dsm link and finish my holset turbo set up and a few more things so i was just asking about it having to sit if it would be OK..
