This is on a 1G. When I backed out of a parking space one day, out of the blue, I heard a binding type noise/ clunk from the rear. I got out to look and saw nothing. So I started driving and pulling away from a stop, this loud binding type noise persists and I can feel the car jerking in concert with the clunk noise, like something is holding it back from accelerating. I checked the rear diff oil level and it's full. The transfer case oil level is full. It sounds like it's coming from the rear diff but I'm not sure. After driving it for a while, the noise and jerking is less severe now and seems to happen only when making tight turns. Also, when pulling away from a stop, it seems like something's slipping because the revs go up a sec. and there's not much acceleration.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? The rear diff is a limited slip LSD diff. Could the LSD be binding? Does anyone know what's broken? I'm going to change the rear diff oil as it's the original oil and see if that makes a difference.
