hey guys, Im trying to edit my bin file for my 1g. I have the tunerpro bin and xdf. Im not sure if there is a way to edit the bin hex directly through TP so I decided to use a Hex editor to view the file. The only hang up is I cant find the address lines stated on this site to make the alterations needed? (hwnd.org - 1G DSM EPROM Editing) for instance I want to edit line address: 727A

this is what im seeing in my editor
7260
727E
729C

what am I missing?

Hey guy, saw your post and I have an answer if you havent figured it out yet. I am looking into ostrich and tunerpro so I am looking into this stuff too.

I am using this site for reference:

First Generation DSM EPROM Editing

And I'll use their first thing as an example, Rev limter.

It says its at address 727A. I am using winhex to edit the hexidecimal code then I'll save it and upload it to tunerpro (i hope, havent got there yet, still learning)

WinHex: Hex Editor & Disk Editor, Computer Forensics & Data Recovery Software

So on the right side of win hex you will see that the first half of the eprom is blank, this is normal, scroll down to 00007270 and then on the right it will have 0123456789abcdef the rev limit code starts at 727a which is f4

so following the lilevo site you can edit the bin file hex by hex, it will be tough, and then load it into tunerpro and you wont have to mess with the basics as they will be already set. Hope that helps.

You can edit the hex code directly in TunerPro, I believe it's under "View" (on my phone right now but I'll double check) the hex lines are addressed like said above, first location will be (ex.) 7270 then 1-9 and A-F as the last digit changing. The bin and definition files TunerPro hosts are OK for starting out, but if you'd like a little more "full-featured" setup PM me. I'm using one found on the DSM:ECU Yahoo group that adds anti-lag 2 step, NLTS, and a few other nifty additions. Also have a great logger definition I modified a little :thumb: I use the hex editor for a few things like fully disabling fuel cut, but most things are much much easier using the visual interface.

That number is not a line number. That is the address of a byte. The address shown on each line in the hex editor is the address of the first byte of that line. You can set the width of each line to whatever you want; it's just how it's displayed and doesn't mean anything.
