big 16 g leaking oil on turbine side

if i replace the turbine shaft seal could that fix the problem. has shaft play up and down but not in and out .

Yes. Oil leaking into the inlet is a sign the seals are leaking oil. Putting a rebuild kit in there with new seals will fix this but it is by no means an easy job for a first timer.

thanks but turbo was rebuilt not long ago by somebody else all the parts look good exept for the shaft seal. by me replacing shaft seal only can that fix the leak
