i am looking to find out what you think the better tuning setup is. Either the HKS VPC/GCC setup or the GM MAF Translator w/ SAFC and pocketlogger. i am running a Garrett T3/t04B H-3 Turbo w/ 680cc injectors. please let me know what u think or your experiences with them

AEM EMS with GM AT and MAP sensors.

If your are looking for easier tuning and to save $, then the GM MAFT.

I cars with the VPC were a PITA with temp changes and normal driving. I would probably avoid it...expensive too.

The EMS requires a lot of time and tuning.....but it is prbably the best option.

I just replaced my home burned keydiver style chip and SAFC with a blow-through GM/MAFT and 1g dsmlink.

The change was immediate and dramatic for the better. All of the "weird" tuning issues I had been struggling with have disappeared.

Random stalling, no power when the outside temperature changes, etc, etc.. . .

The car's drivability is back like it is unmodified again. The top end pull is noticably harder and another side benefit is quicker spool up on my td06-20g, it's feeling like my old 16g.

This combination is highly recommended.

Ive been running a vpc,afc setup for 3 years now.t3 to4e 57 and 60 trims, drives fine, runs fine. Its a proving setup by alot of people. The adjustments are on the fly and you dont have to get out of the car.Plug and play.Id say anything past that would be a ems.I drive my car everyday, and theres no problems in temp changes

Hey John,
anyway I've had 4(yes four) VPC's 2 2g mass setups and currently running GM maf with 1G DSMlink. Hand down NOTHING beat's a VPC for WOT power out of these choices..however drivability and fuel economy suffers. Honestly The gm maf dsmlink is a force to rival with My drivability and ability tune a good amount of boost on pump(most of 25psi) is amazing. I truely would advise you to stay clear of VPC's for street cars there just a little more of a pain for the average joe than need be. Just get a maft and be happy ;)
best bang for the buck.
But what do I know

I've been running a MAFT with a keydiver chip. All I can say is that driveability is back to where it felt stock. I love this setup, and the only thing that can beat this would be dsmlink. It's been a long time since I've been able to run my engine up to redline without occuring serious knock or stumbling up top because timing was pulled. The only thing I've adjusted so far was a bit of richening up on the idle and leaning out the top end. I'm very happy with my setup so far.
