I am about to install my HX40 but am weighing my options as far as what is the best route to go.. The turbo I have is a divided T4 setup and I have the stock holset gate on there.. Should I...

-do the BEP housing and go internal gate
-do the BEP housing and go external gate
-keep the stock holset housing and go with a new manifold, if so what are thoughts on running a divided turbo and nondivided mani?

I am going for 501 horsepower, and have the rest of the build purchased, besides link..

I ran the internal gate on my HX with the BEP housing and it didn't like anything under 24psi. So with that said go external and bolton. You can hit that 501 without a doubt (hopefully you have the 60mm).

Definitely go with the external gate. The HX40 can't come close to living up to it's potential if you keep it internally gated.

If you have the funds I would strongly recommend to utilize the twin scroll setup by getting a divided manifold. Otherwise use a non divided t3 housing with a BEP housing. The bolt on housing will get you to 500hp as well but it is more restricting with faster spool than the BEP t3 housing.

External gate for sure.

How about 502hp :p

Im having a few issues with my internal gate, so if I had to do it over Id pay the extra money and go extrernal. Im waiting on a new actuator to see if that fixes my boost issues. The car wont boost anyless then 30psi, so I have to baby it around town (its my dd) and watch the boost gague carefully if I need to pass someone. ha

Mine was the same way, but 24psi. It made for an interesting time.
