best machine shop in the country!!! Who?

I know how important it is to find the most experience machine shop that knows our DSM engines inside and out. the machine shop in some part determined how long a motor will last in any conditions.

That being said, I've got a spare motor sitting on the shelf that i am planning to have it machine in case of unplanned disasters.

The motor's balance shaft came loose. the guy i bought it form though it was a knock and so he decided to disassembled the engine and came to find out the balance shaft have came off. but, he decided to sell it to me anyways.

I want to restore the motor to "new" condition with balance shaft removed. now i am in pursuit to find the most experience machine shop in the nation. dollar don't really matter to me, its the talent which i'm willing to pay. "do it right the first time and you don't have to do it again"

here are some of the know shop, that i know of... but idk how good they are in prepping the block. Please feel free to comment and make recommendations.

BJ does the best work out there, he builds engines for Shep in exchange for transmissions. He just recently got back into the Evo/DSM thing so his shop doesn't have a website yet. He doesn't like to play around though, if you call/text him you had better be serious about sending your motor his way. He's located about 3 hours up the road from me in Palmdale, CA and his work is second to none IMO but your going to pay for it. I can PM you his number if your still interested? He's a good guy, I've met him in person and he KNOWS these cars and I'm sure many of the older DSM'rs here can vouge for him.
I'm pretty sure he built or helped build Mikes Wohler's AWD 8.8 sec drag car and I KNOW for a fact he builds motors for Shep.

I've dealt with JAM, very good experience and great customer service. They actually called me multiple times with updates and if they had the correct shipping address for the order. I bought a short block from them back a few years ago and also 3g lifters from them about a year ago.

Source for this information? When Sheps car last ran it was running a Buschur blcok and a Fox Lake CNC head.

A good buddy of mine introduced me to him about a month ago when we started talking about getting SMIM's made. I know BJ got out of the DSM/Evo seen for a few years so Sheps last car (I don't know what it was because I really don't follow him) might not have been built by BJ, but when BJ was building motors he built one for Shep.

I'll get you his shops number, I don't think he'd appreciate me tossing around his personal cell. He's a great guy and has excellent customer service from my experience... He invited us up to his shop to visit for a few hours and show us around, then he made us 3 SMIM in 2 weeks getting them powder coated and shipped.

When Shep was running 8's and DDing his car still im pretty sure it was a BJ head.
