I went to a 64414 cam as my car became less of a street car and really liked the top end power of the cam. They did sacrifice mid range IMO. Upper end was strong, idle was fair.

I tried the 272's to see what the hype was about. They turned out to idle as well as my 64413 cams, which was a big surprise to me. I did pick up 1 mph in the 1/4 with the 272's over the 64414. ( 125 vs. 126 )

They ran the same on the nitrous.

Both cams would be a good choice IMO.

all bable about this cam sucks and that cam blows, well a good cam proves what you can lay down on the strip. My stock 92 cam went 13.5"@104mph with small 16g. $400 later with some Web Cams, my timeslip showed 13.1"@106mph with the same turbo. In the process to get some HKS cams, will let you guys know how they turn out. Good luck.

but i a running crower stage 3 cams on a ported 2g head and 1g throtle body and intake manifold it sucks below 2k no vacume wut so ever at idle it flickers around 5 psi of vac!!!! i had 19 with stock cams and there are no boost leaks. well around 3500 you start to get pulled then all the way up to 7500 ( i have there springs and retainers) i am starting to lose trction on a big 16g at the top of first AND SECOND i think they are awsomeebut have never compared them to anyone else yet and i am still sitting with my stock cat back on the car at the moment cuz of emissions i cant wait till tonight when i switch it back to my 3"

If I were to run a Stage II SBR 2G head w/ a Magnus SMIM would I be able to get the most from HKS 272/272 combo? I am going for all topend ( FWD :) ) so the only thing I care about is getting the power as high in the powerband as possible.
