Alright... Somehow, during the last year, I misplaced my Boost Control Solenoid, and Schucks tells me it's a dealer only item. As some of you know, I'm doing my first engine swap, and I'm going from USDM to JDM out of necessity (money issues; the USDM died). Well, on the JDM motor, on a bracket were two small solenoids. They both have three nipples, with one on both capped off. They had, on the two nipples left, vacuum hoses attached, which ran to various parts of the motor. Well, I took one off and found that it fit the BCS power socket perfectly, and so I attached it to the Air Box bracket where the stock BCS is supposed to be. The thing is... I don't really know if it's a BCS or not. It just happens to fit.
Are their any ways to find out if this little thing is the correct solenoid? If it's not, and I can't find my original, does anyone have one I could buy? How much should I expect for one?
