When installing my mbc do i have to unplug the bcs or should i leave it plugged in...Someone told me that it like to still give a reading and its better for the car just need a second opinion because his was a 2g and i was wondering if it makes a difference?

It doesn't matter on a 1g - but if you think you may want to ever use your BCS in the future, you may want to leave the electrical connector plugged-in, but remove the two vacuum lines and cap-off the two vacuum ports on the BCS just to prevent any junk from getting inside it.

there is no point in really removing it. Like it may make it look neater and save space, but if you ever want to go back to it your going to wish it was still there. I say leave it in just in case

what is the purpse of the BCS? What the mod you can do to it?

Steve, you are saying I can leave the BCS on and attached to the system and still use a MBC pushing say 15psi+?

No, all I said was to leave the BCS connector the the electrical harness to protect the ECU circuits. This is a good idea on a 1G and required on 2Gs to avoid CELs. The vacuum/pressure hoses would be disconected from the BCS and rerouted to the MBC.

I was also just thinking, it wouldn't hurt to loop a hose to keep dirt out of the bcs, in case one ever wanted to reuse it.
